Tomorrow, we are going to do a production. I am a scarecrow dancer. What I have to do is dance while the scarecrow sings his song. There are two crows, Emily and Richard. They get chased by Toto, then run in-between us.My favourite character in the production is the Scarecrow because he is clumsy.
I'm feeling nervous about if I do the dance correctly, but I am also feeling excited because Productions are my favourite time of the year, because I like using my imagination.
Hi Alex, How fantastic you get to play the part of a dancer of your favourite character the Scarecrow. The Wizard of OZ is such a great story, I bet the production will be lots and lots of fun. Enjoy.

ReplyDeleteYou really know a lot about the Wizard of Oz. Your Mum and Dad told me you have watched it at least twenty times on DVD. No wonder you made such a good scarecrow dancer!
I like using my imagination too and Productions are fun because they tell a story to the audience. If you do a good job the audience believe the story is real. I think we did a very good job at pretending we were really the characters in the Wizard of Oz - so good that the audience didn't think it was just children up there.
Lots of children were petrified of Hannah because they believed she REALLY was a witch and I think a lot of them would have also believed you were really made out of straw.
