In the morning, Dad woke me up for breakfast then I remembered today it was swimming sports.

Before the race I saw loads of things. I saw kids screaming, kids chasing each other and kids talking to the teacher. I sat down in my house and I talked to my friends. The pool was sparkling like diamonds and I really felt nervous. Then Mr K on the microphone said it was time for the races to begin. I felt sick.

The first race I did was Freestyle. Mr K told us to get in the pool. I jumped in, it was freezing. It was more cold than when when one of your friends puts ice down your back and it stings for the next 4 minutes. Believe me, it has happened. Mr K told us to go. I misheard him and thought he was telling someone to sit down. But then I saw Richard speeding towards the end! I started swimming. I heard the crowd cheering, I didn't need to stop, I didn't want to stop I swimming. Finally something hard touched my head I knew that that was the end of the pool. I thought that I came third but then when I looked around I realized that I came LAST!

I was very disappointed about coming last but food always cheered me up. I pulled out my lunch box there was some Grainwaves in there, yum. After lunch I had a little walk around I saw some people selling sausages, too bad I didn't bring my money! Then I realized something about when I came last. I remembered that it is not about winning, its about having fun. That immediately made me feel better.

I waited for free time. I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and finally Mr K said it was time for free time. I jumped in the big pool I was just chilling for a little while when I saw some kids jump into the pool where you jump off before you race, I jumped out and walked over I jumped and by accident did a belly flop. OUCH! It could have been worse I thought to myself when I got out. I jumped In again- CANNON BALL! I yelled as I did a bomb, I'm quite good at bombs I started being good at bombs when I went with mum and dad to the campsite once for the holiday there was a pool there I started doing bombs in there.

Finally It was time to leave I packed my swimming bag and school bag then we said a prayer when it was over everyone left: Rory, James, Hunter and Havana went In Miss Whitfield’s car we were the third ones back to school. Then the bell rang. Mom came and picked me up.

I will never forget that day ever it was the best day of my life.
